![]() The new HP Mini Note PC kills the eee 900 in all aspects – except the battery life. If you’re considering an ASUS eee 900, I’d suggest going for this instead. It also has the biggest SHIFT key ever made for an ultra light. It is about 93% the size of a standard keyboard. # The keypad feels almost like a regular keypad. # PC Card (EVDO!) and SD card reader built in - which means I can transfer my Nikon DSLR photos without the need of a cable - too good to be true! # Two USB ports: one on the left side and one on the right - hurrah! I was floored to hear the stereo speakers boost out some loud Windows Vista loading music from across the room It’s even louder and more crisp than my MacBook’s internal audio (Macs are not known for their sound). The left and right click buttons are rather oddly located to the left and right of the trackpad, and not below. # The trackpad has an on/off button that disables the mouse entirely useful for portability. There are many things to note from my first impressions: So I have one with me right now (the mid range unit with Windows Vista Basic). This is the obvious recommendation, as Vista seems to crap out once in a while (and we’ve also seen the live demo of Windows 7 … wait, you havent ‘yet?). It’s not rocket science – you can definitely figure out that the first package – at roughly P25,000 gives you a full functioning PC (the keyboard is kick ass) and runs on Linux. The HP 2133 Mini Note PC or the “HP Mini” as we like to call it comes in three packages: Option for Windows Vista Basic, Windows Vista Business or Linux Preinstalled Two battery solutions: 3 cell for ultralightweight config // 6 cell for extended battery life Let’s check out the full package, specs and pricing:ģD DriveGuard with accelerometer for parking the hard drive when the computer falls I can’t believe how much style and features were packed into this thing, with an array of choices for the operating system and a ridiculously low price, it isn’t funny. The HP Mini Note PC is the cheapest full functioning ultra light PC I have ever encountered. Their direct competitor would be Toshiba in terms of pricing and “status.” But I was floored to see something that night that made me realize how companies are now trying to -reinvent themselves to the new market. HP desktops and laptops have always had that reputation of being good but *cough* expensive. Here’s a short size comparison between the HP Mini Note PC, my 13 inch MacBook and a standard sized Samsung F400 (Bang and Olufsen) mobile phone: ![]() I think this was because I won the wackiest pose on the HP wall - I balanced the Mini Note on my head. HP has just released the Mini Note PC to the Philippine market last night and I was lucky to have taken home a demo unit from the event. With ASUS releasing the eee and eee 900, other manufacturers have gone light ( see ACER’s Aspire One product feature) and now the market has definitely tipped. The ultra-light phenomenon has just tipped once again. ![]()

Take the front tray out and pour the water into the sink. Which is dangerous if you’ve recently heated water as hot condensation will drop down the back of the machine! This just shows the attention to detail on these machines and stops you having to put your hand to the back. You should notice that pulling the front tray will also drag the back-tray out too. Simply pull it towards you by the cut-out handle at the bottom. When the “empty me” sign raises up it’s time for a quick clean of the entire tray. It’s actually also collecting condensation from the condensation pipe at the back of the machine, and this is happening every time you heat water, either through the coffee filter, the direct water spout or the steam wand. You may wonder why you’re collecting so much water when hardly any has dripped from the machine as you are using it. You’ll notice that an “empty me” sign will pop up from the front of the drip tray (shown above) when it begins to fill with water.
![]() It nicely incorporates the furious, high speed game play of an arcade racer with those quality tenets found within successful “kart racer” titles. Its furious sense of speed/motion is well-balanced and “turbo” boosts provide players with a perfect level of control that is neither overwhelming nor uncontrollable. Raging Thunder 2’s game play is smooth and vigorous. Die-hard fans of the genre looking for overly-detailed vehicles/vehicle upgrades may be disappointed, but I found the upgrade “balance” more than sufficient. Players are offered several ways to customize game play controls to their liking, however, such as the option to adjust tilt-sensitivity, brake power, auto-gas and auto-boost, etc. Raging Thunder 2’s control scheme is the only aspect of the game that bothered me, but not enough to influence its “fun factor.” Controls are accelerometer-based and there are no alternative control options, i.e. Players also have the option to turn music/effects off. Unless I’m driving a cart capable of shooting turtle shells, sporting a moustache Tom Selleck would envy, I was never a big fan of the racing genre. ![]() ![]() Some of the features that are commonly found in IDEs include the following: Code editorĪ code editor is a text editor that is designed specifically for writing code. Just picture your provider listening to your heart, then going to type up the info, looking in your ears, typing up that info, and back and forth. But this means that providers have to be proficient in using computers/tablets and patient care at the same time. It’s a good thing that we moved to a digital system because patient records can be easily accessed by providers and the patient, and patient data can be sent anywhere in a matter of minutes. However, the implementation of EHR systems threw in a monkey wrench from the old system of using paper notes. Healthcare providers are great at what they are trained to do: taking care of patients. There are nuances to each system, but they all work in a similar fashion. Although big players such as EPIC, Cerner, Allscripts, Meditech, and eClinicalWorks get most of the attention, there are a wide variety of smaller systems that are in use by smaller practices. Today, nearly every health system and outpatient clinic uses one of the hundreds of different EHR systems that have been developed. SSL encryption is a type of security that encrypts information to protect it from being intercepted or altered.
